“I love this set up in Mandarin Gallery. It’s a huge space with little pockets of seating areas, so it doesn’t feel large or impersonal. Hairstylist Jun is from South Korea, but has recently moved from Canada where

he’s been living for ages. He needed some warmth! He’s really easy to talk to and understood the complexities of having the three different hair colours to deal with. I like my grey, but it’s very grey at the front and dark at the back, so it needs to balanced. On top of that I have old highlights that are patchy and can be brassy when I stop using the purple shampoo for a period of time. We decided to go with blonde highlights to blend the grey together with the dark blonde and old highlights.

A little menu of drinks with a biccie are a nice touch, as is the good scalp massage. The colour was a little darker than I expected but I know once the toner has washed out a bit, it would look good. The blowdry was fab and Jun has a great “bedside” manner that makes him next to chat to.
